This short video will help employers navigate and comply with Florida’s recently passed HB7 Individual Freedom Law, also known as the “Stop WOKE Act”. Effective July 1, 2022, the new law prohibits employers from requiring, promoting or endorsing certain “prohibited concepts” in their diversity, equity, and inclusion training – also known as DEI.
Knowledge and compliance is critical for Florida employers, because The STOP Woke Act will be enforced in the same manner as Florida’s existing employment civil rights protections. Violations include civil actions, injunctive relief and fines up to $10,000.
